🔐 Login / Access problems
  1. Double-check your username is all lower case
  2. Disable your VPN — VPNs can cause issues on initial DNS authentication
  3. If using your own app, make sure the server URL starts with https:// (not http)
  4. If your account has expired, go to create an order to renew

🎬 Playback troubleshooting
  1. Check announcements for any major updates on the service
  2. Clear the app cache and restart your router. It's a basic step but resolves 80% of problems
  3. Change your stream type to HLS and increase your playback buffer (both in settings)
  4. Switch your in-app player between Exo and VLC
  5. Disable your VPN, or try a different location (XC app has one built in — tap the VPN icon on the homepage)
  6. Cross-test on another device/network — this rules out local or ISP issues

💾 Using an Apex Provided App

  1. Enable Developer Options
    • Settings → My Fire TV / System → About
    • Highlight Fire TV Stick / Android TV OS Build, press Select 7 times
    • Go back → Developer Options → turn ADB Debugging ON and Install Unknown Apps ON
  2. Install Downloader App
    • Home → Search 🔍 → type Downloader
    • Select the AFTVnews app → Download
    • Open and allow permissions
  3. Install your app via Downloader
    Open Downloader → Home → enter URL:

    Wait for download → Install → Done → Delete file when prompted.
  4. Open & Use Your App
    • Home → Apps (or long-press Home → Apps)
    • Find your app → press ☰ → Move to Front
    • Login using your username and password

📅 Renewal / Expiry Help
  1. Your expiry date will show on the main homepage of the XC app
  2. If using another app, tap the “info” button to show your expiry
  3. If you no longer have access due to being expired, go to create an order to renew
  4. Renewed accounts can be used instantly — refresh your playlist to show your new expiry

⚽ Football streaming issues

At least 3 separate streams are available for most matches. If one isn't working for you, check:

  • EPL Category (each team has two streams, so 4 altogether for the same match)
  • Sky/TNT Sports (each channel has 3 options based on quality, plus the “UHD hub” depending on channel)
  • Football Listings — every English-speaking channel showing a match will be listed here
  • Fixturehub Search — for streams on STAN, Vidio, Setanta, ESPN, DAZN, Hub Premier and Peacock

If you're still having issues:
